Week 4

Mathopoly - like monopoly, but with math challenges. We loved learning this math game.   Blog week   4  We  are well underway with our learning in  T erm  2.  It is encouraging to see many children  farewelling  their  parents with  such  confidence. As we near the middle of the year ,   we encourage each  child  to arrive  at school with a polite greeting to  their teachers, as well as managing their own belongings such as bag, folder and water bottle.  Allowing children to complete this simple morning routine will aid in building their independence and confidence.  Year one    Literacy  In  writing this  term we are having a wonderful time continuing to learn about narratives and the correct st ructure to follow. End of term 3 photos

We worked hard on our spring flowerpot entrance. We had a focus of reduce , reuse recycle. Maths and science week saw us participate in a range of engaging, educational and exciting activities.  We made fairy bread with a focus on fractions of halves and quarters.  Followed by an exciting experience of measuring how far popcorn could pop . Then making a popcorn container that would hold the greatest capacity. The students worked with a partner using one sheet of paper only. It’s clear to see we have some budding engineers and designers.  All the students were very proud of the process they followed and the product they made in STEM this term
